Welcome to Palomar Council PTA!
We proudly support 23 local PTA units across the Poway Unified School District (PUSD), working together to create positive, lasting impacts in our schools and communities. Our mission is to empower, inform, and inspire our local units so they can thrive in achieving their goals.
Palomar Council provides ongoing training, guidance, and encouragement for unit officers, while also supporting advocacy and legislative efforts. As a vital liaison between our local units and PUSD leadership, including the School Board of Education and the Poway Federation of Teachers, we help foster strong partnerships throughout the district. We also assist with the formation of new PTA units—if your school doesn’t have a PTA, we’d love to help you start one!
Our programs reflect our commitment to families and students across PUSD:
-
Giving Tree (formerly Adopt-a-Family): Supporting families in need during the holidays
-
Reflections: A district-wide art competition honoring student creativity from local to national levels
-
Awards & Grants: Sharing scholarship and grant opportunities for students and PTAs
-
Elementary Spelling Bee: Our newest program, celebrating young spellers from schools across the district
We invite all Unit Presidents or designated representatives to attend our General Meetings, held on the first Tuesday of September, November, January, March, and May. For dates and details, please visit our Calendar tab.
We’re excited to collaborate with you for a successful and rewarding school year—let’s make great things happen together!
